Boutros Maritime & Transport S.A was founded in 1880 by Mr. Abdullah Boutros in Alexandrette (Iskenderun). As it was in the 19th century, the headquarters of Boutros, Iskenderun is still a geographically very important location for the maritime industry.
Emil Boutros, graduate of the University of Denver. He served with distinction as the Honorary Consul of Spain and was Knighted as a Knight of the Order of Isabella the Catholic, an honor conferred by His Majesty King Juan Carlos I of Spain. Further elevating his commendable service, he was awarded the Encomienda in the Order of Isabella the Catholic by His Majesty King Felipe VI. Additionally, Emil holds the esteemed position of Honorary Consul of Norway, having been appointed as an Officer of the Royal Norwegian Order of Merit by His Majesty King Harald V of Norway.
